We support the Victor-Farmington Food Cupboard as an area church. There is an ongoing current need for cans of vegetables, fruit, cereal, soups, rice, tuna & peanut butter as well as money donations that can be used to purchase food. Please try to add some of these items to your grocery list each week and bring them in on Sunday to be put in the basket in the lobby. Thank you!

Please contact the church office or Jean Rioch if you need your photo taken or submitted for the new directory. Everyone is welcome and encouraged to have a picture in the directory. There is no cost and everyone that is photographed will receive a free Olan Mills photo and a copy of the directory. The church receives $5 for each family photographed from Olan Mills. There's still an opportunity to have the Olan Mills photographer come to take your picture if you didn't get your picture taken in either November or December sittings. We need 15 families to sign up to set a date for a sitting.

Victor United Methodist has supported NIMS (Neighbors in Ministry to Seniors) as part of outreach to our community. NIMS is an ecumenical volunteer organization in Victor that provides rides to Seniors on an irregular basis for doctor appointments, hair appointments, shopping, etc. We are in need of volunteers to provide rides, as well as volunteers to manage the phone requests for rides. Volunteers will be asked to attend a brief orientation that will be required before committing to the program. Topics covered include NIMS and its mission statement, scheduling, commitment, expectations of client and volunteer, communication, elder abuse, and legal issues. Volunteers are free to choose the time and extent of services they wish to provide. You may contact Nancy Kidd at 742-2589 for more information.

Victor United Methodist supports our historic United Methodist connection with The Gateway-Longway in Buffalo, offering services to children, youth and families. Please save the labels for education found on many products such as soups, cereal and other items. Please place them in the box in the lounge for The Gateway-Longview to be redeemed for many needed items such as televisions and vans. Last year over 3000 labels were sent. Click here for more information on The Gateway-Longview.

An Adult Forum on Sundays held in the Pastor's Office gives an opportunity to dialogue together as believers. A forum such as this explores aspects of the spiritual life as well as current events which impact our lives as we explore our connection with others in the United Methodist Church. We meet after worship.
