David was appointed to the Victor United Methodist Church by Bishop Mark J. Webb, July 1, 2013. Ordained and Elder in the United Methodist Church in 1983 David has served as pastor in Lee Center, Point Rock, Herkimer, Syracuse (Erwin First) and most recently, Wesley United Methodist Church in Rochester. He served as District Superintendent of the Crossroads and Central Lakes Districts in the North Central New York Conference where he served on a variety of Conference Committees include Christian Education, Stewardship and the Board of Ordained Ministry.
David is a strong believer in the United Methodist mission to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. He believes that fulfilling that mission is a spiritual journey that begins in the individual and spreads out through the church community, then into the neighborhoods and then into the world. Grace and the unconditional love of Jesus Christ are the motivation and witness for ministry in and outside the body of the church. David’s personal theology is summed up in Luke 10, and he has adopted as a personal mission statement; Believe, Belong, Become.
Born and raised in Central New York State, David is married to Marianne. Son, Timothy lives in Amherst, NY where he resides with his wife Allison and grandson, Drew. Daughter, Erin lives with her husband Mathew in Marlboro Massachusetts, and daughters Ashley and Katelyn live at home with David and Marianne.
David enjoys running, bike riding, and golf. He is a fan of the Boston Red Sox and the New York Giants.
